Introduction to Tensorflow
TensorFlow is an open source library for high performance numerical computations. It allows to run code on one or multiple GPUs to speed up computations. Tensorflow can be used as C++ library or as a Python module. Especially the usage via Python is quite easy and comfortable due to the high compatibility with other modules like Numpy. Since it is most powerful when operating with large tensors (e.g. vectors or matrices) it is widely used in the area of machine learning. Especially the training and inference of modern neural networks can be speeded up by a factor of about 10 to 100 (depending on the application and hardware).
